Accessibility and Compliance Manager

  • Provides content development, technical orientation and user perspective to products by guiding and ensuring consistency.
  • Oversees planning and execution of projects, production schedules, and quality assurance.
  • Teams with creative and technical leads to manage strategy.
  • Manages the production of content from product concept through completion, including product updates and revisions.

  • Accessibility experience
  • Sales, customer experience
  • JAVA understanding Speak and understand the standards of accessibility
  • Full understanding of the requirements and can speak to the accessibility in full 
  • Extensive knowledge of accessibility solutions, standards and/or principles (WCAG 2.0 AA, etc.) specifically related to accessibility development. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills 
  • Accessibility bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management experience 
  • Proven problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans 
  • Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities 
  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments 
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking 
  • Medium to large scale projects and resource management experience. 
  • Bachelors Degree (BA)

Preferred Qualifications
  • SME with experience with web technologies including MathML, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML and Accessible.
  • Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA). 
  • Extensive knowledge of accessibility solutions specifically related to STEM. 
  • Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA. 
  • Experience using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver.
