Director, Analytics & Insights 

Our client is one of the world’ s leading media and entertainment companies in development, production, and marketing of entertainment, news, and information. They own and operates a valuable portfolio of news and entertainment television networks, a premiere motion picture company, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the needs of all key stakeholders and synthesize them into a consistent effective workflow with timely reports and recommendations.
  • Analyze & report on the performance of key Content Commerce metrics to gauge trends, benchmarks, and performance. Identify and communicate root causes of performance outcomes.
  • Address emerging questions and opportunities  through quantitative analysis and analytical models such as regression, decision trees, statistical techniques, data science tools, and/or operations research.
  • Create a productive feedback loop with the Content Commerce editorial & customer acquisitions team/agency to influence decision making with data-driven recommendations.
  • Leverage understanding of the business process to identify and implement solutions that will result in significant top and bottom-line contributions.
  • Work with editorial, marketing and sales to help them understand audience behavior across all our distribution channels and highlights business trends.
  • Communicate results to management and clients through succinct storytelling presentations.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelors’ degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required with an advanced degree (MA, MBA, PhD or equivalent) ideal.
  • 8+ years of experience in Analytics and Insights in a digital and/or media company, e-commerce company, or at a research vendor, partnering with.
  • Experience deriving deep insights from vast quantities of data and understand business implications of results and trends.
  • Experience obtaining and analyzing market as well as competitive information to help guide business decisions.
  • Experience with advanced functions in Excel.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, regressions, mathematical programming, and probability/forecasting techniques.
  • Strong business, technical, verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
