Manager, Marketing Intelligence

Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand a broad range of our client’ s data resources and know how, when, and which to use
  • Identify and define metrics for teams to assess their performance and drive improvements
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
  • Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics, and work across the organization to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders
  • Analyze and review large quantitative data sets and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvements
  • Deliver real, actionable insights on opportunities and work with business to drive recommendations for improving the business
  • Work with business users to drive and analyze business campaigns such as emails, a/b tests, cohort based tests, etc
  • Understand and write high quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data
  • As a Customer Intelligence Manager, you will work daily with our marketing teams to gather and analyze data, create reports, support deep dives and support data driven decision making.
  • You will manage projects, define concepts, run analysis and interpret results.

Qualifications
  • BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Business
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, or another related occupation
  • High-level proficiency with SQL based query languages and relational data concepts and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in customer analytics, including engagement and retention analysis
  • Proven experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement, and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to dig into the “ why” of various results and present data driven insights and recommendations
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
  • Strong problem solving skills along with the ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task and work under firm deadlines within a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical testing tools (e.g. Tableau, R, SPSS)
  • SQL certification, experience with Redshift, or experience with a relevant programming language (e.g. Python, VB)
  • Self-starter, capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
  • Master’ s Degree or MBA preferred
