QA Engineer II

  • Provide application and testing support for all It Works! systems.   Responsibilities will include application support i.e. issue analysis and resolution, testing and communication regarding all system bugs, changes and enhancements (Exigo, Graber, Replicated Website, etc).   This position will focus on supporting all activities related to all phases of testing and will work closely with the BA and Development teams on all coding changes.
  • Conduct all levels of testing through our defined processes, environments and applications (web, mobile, client-server)
  • Write clear, concise test scripts that can be easily followed and implemented by UA testers
  • Support pre/post testing for all system launches (both business and non-business hours) as assigned
  • Document information for future knowledge transfer and training related to issue resolution, business rule definitions and system changes
  • Pro-actively work with the BA’ s on test scenarios for assigned projects
  • Regularly communicate testing status and results to the BA’ s and development team to resolve issues on a timely basis
  • Support the work efforts of other QA team members as workloads shift based on priorities
  • Assist with user support by redirecting issues to the appropriate resource, directly resolving the issue or escalating it to management
  • Pro-actively escalates potential testing or process issues to the Lead QA and/or department manager

  • Ability to work independently with little direction but also as a productive, engaged member of a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Flexible during times of change and can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to quickly develop a thorough understanding of each application in order to support the end users of these systems. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills that includes the ability to listen to and understand the business users issues and needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • University degree or college diploma in the field of Information Technology, Business Analysis/Quality Assurance or similar field
  • 2-5 years direct work experience in a QA capacity, additional experience with BA work a plus
  • 2 plus years of manual testing, automated testing experience a plus
  • 2 plus years creating test cases and scripts

Preferred Qualifications
  • TFS work item management a plus
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Strong analytical skills
