Technical Product Manager

Are you familiar with one of the world’ s leading media and entertainment companies in development, production, and marketing of entertainment, news, and information? Our client owns and operates a valuable portfolio of news and entertainment television networks, a premiere motion picture company, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Mathematics or similar disciplines
  • MS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent; MBA a plus
  • 1-3+ years experience in API development and implementation
  • 1-2 years experience managing and developing products through the development lifecycle
  • Comfortable presenting to both internal and external engineering and executive audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal, relational and writing skills.
  • Self-starter, self-directed team player. An entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas and concepts and communicate them in technical and business terms for stakeholders and team members
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills and working across multiple groups and reporting lines
  • Strong management and organizational skills, especially within a team environment
  • Fundamental understanding of RESTful API concepts / services
  • Demonstrated acumen in the integration concepts and models such as REST APIs, batch processes, synchronous and asynchronous integrations
  • Experience working with search technologies like Elastic
  • Experience working with xml and json
  • Deep experience working with third party SDKs and API integration
  • Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring
  • Fundamental understanding of relational database design concepts [e.g. table design, table relationships (e.g. one-to-one, one-to-many), primary and foreign key designations, etc.]
  • Knowledge of application performance, scalability, security, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
  • Knowledge of a broad range of data structures and algorithms and know how, when and when not to use them
  • An ideal candidate would be a Senior software engineer looking to transition to Product management
