Working onsite at Dewpoint, working on project for their client Red Cedar (Lansing)

Profile & Description

Responsible for time tracking and billing for specific Dewpoint clients utilizing OpenAir (Professional Services Automation tool). This includes the tracking of all professional services agreements from inception to closure which includes but is not limited to; project, budget, time and expense tracking, invoicing, month end financial reporting, continuous financial forecasting, and account receivable entry. This position works hand in hand with the Financial Services Manager, directly with the Controller, delivery resources, service delivery managers, vendors, and leadership to ensure accurate and timely month end closure. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite – highly skilled in Excel
  • Competent to become Mastery of OpenAir
  • Competent in NetSuite
  • Basic accounting/bookkeeping skills
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Disposition to work with varied personalities for diverse needs
  • High ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and needs based on importance and within established time frames
  • Analytical and forward thinking

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create and manage professional service projects in OpenAir from initial opportunity request through project delivery and closure
  • Track and maintain project budgets against actual utilization through the use of OpenAir and spreadsheets
  • Track and process project time and expense entries for delivery resources using OpenAir
  • Provide monthly financial data for assigned customers for rolling forecast and monthly actual report
  • Review and maintain monthly and quarterly financial revenue reports and provide recommendations to leadership based on data
  • Provide OpenAir reports as needed to management
  • Audit project reporting, crosschecking for inaccuracies and communicate inefficiencies with leadership and/or Service Delivery Managers
  • Work with sales, project, and service delivery managers to control project discrepancies and work within defined budgets
  • Work with service delivery managers on project resource adds/deletions/changes
  • Maintain alerts to sales on project end dates, budget issues
  • Maintain working relationship with professional service vendors to aid resource time reconciliation
  • Oversee OpenAir integration to NetSuite for monthly time and invoice reporting
  • Ensure PO’ s are created in NetSuite with monthly integration
  • Reconcile month end with controller
  • Create client invoicing
  • Expense Approval in OpenAir
  • OpenAir Training for New Employees and Contractors


Time Reporting 
  • Performs time entry in accordance with established Dewpoint time reporting requirements

Professional Development
  • Stays up-to-date on company policies and procedures and follows appropriately
  •   Works toward continuous quality improvement in all aspects of responsibilities

Position Objectives
  • Provide overall financial, resource, and project support of the services organization using OpenAir and NetSuite
  • Provide service revenue tracking for monthly actual and forecasting

  • Accurate Forecasting

  • Physical activity that often requires keyboarding, sitting, phone work and filing

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus 
  • Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face (in English) for long periods of time

Minimum Environmental Expectations
  • Requires working indoors 
  • Typical workweek is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend work, as well as longer hours as needed 
  • Position may deal with some aggressive personalities and could be stressful
