ektello is looking for an Automotive Engineer for one of the most iconic client in Warren, Michigan. Our client is among the world’ s largest automakers. They’ re a multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes vehicles and vehicle parts. From electric cars to heavy-duty full-size trucks, they provide a complete range of vehicles that meets the needs and expectations of drivers on a global scale.  

  • Develop innovative technologies for autonomous vehicle simulation system.
  • Develop simulation tools and framework in areas related to 3D graphics rendering and multi-agent systems.
  • Develop simulation framework including static and dynamic environment for autonomous driving system.
  • Develop large scale of regression simulation framework for autonomous driving system.
  • Responsible for automotive controls and software development. Work involves innovation, development, execution, and verification of control system requirements, architecture, algorithm and software. Independent judgment is used with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and synthesize control feature requirements.
  • Design control algorithms and software for complex systems.
  • Create and utilize Matlab models for algorithm definition.
  • Utilize autocode methodologies for implementation of software design.
  • Utilize plant models for verification of algorithm and control features.
  • Perform feature and integration builds of software.
  • Conduct system-level and unit-level verification and validation testing.
  • Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects (DFMEA) and Variation analysis.
  • Communicates, coordinates, and consults with engineering departments and customers.
  • Write standardized C+ codes in order to define algorithms.

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) – Beginner level.
  • Knowledge of Lotus Notes or other email communication tool – Intermediate level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present/work in group settings.   
  • Good verbal communication skills to clearly convey message or project timelines/updates.
  • Good written communication skills to effectively prepare documents for management review and approval.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment - 4 years’ experience.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively communication with multiple levels within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and heavy workloads.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to prioritize workload independently.  
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities to effectively investigate issue and provide resolution.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink and Autocoding – 2-3 years’ experience.
  • Ability to write standardized C+ codes to define algorithms – 4 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of control system architecture and design expertise – 2 years’ experience.
  • Position related experience in Engineering – 4 years.
  • Position specific experience in Embedded Controls Algorithm, Software Engineering – 4 years.
  • Good background in computer graphics.
  • Experience with modeling simulation environments.
  • Experience with simulation and validation of ADAS technologies.
  • C++ or Python software development skills on Linux platforms.
  • MS in computer science or engineering or related field, or BS in computer science or related field with 2+ years of industrial experiences.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine 4 or Unity 3D.
  • GPU programming experience.
  • Strong 3D Graphics and mathematics background.
