Customer & Market Insights Senior Analyst
 

**W2 contract** New York City, NY ** REMOTE TO START **

SUMMARY

Customer & Market Insights Analyst is responsible for conducting primary consumer research to help inform new product direction and design. We are looking for a talented consumer research professional to join the team. You should be ready to provide consumer insights to inform all stages of the product development lifecycle - from new concept ideation, to concept testing, to concept design and positioning.

  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (e.g., surveys, digital interviews, focus groups, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills for both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
     

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write quantitative and qualitative discussion guides (e.g., for surveys, online interviews) to answer strategic questions
  • Help field primary consumer research, leveraging digital DIY research tools (identify target audience, program platforms)
  • Analyze primary quantitative data and qualitative data to identify key consumer behaviors and trends
  • Help synthesize analysis into meaningful, actionable insights and develop strategic recommendations based on research insights
  • Help create reports based on research analysis and present to key project stakeholders
  • Conduct secondary desk research as needed to help the team understand competitive products, identify consumer trends, and follow industry news
     

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors in a business or design-related function
  • 2-5 years experience in primary consumer / market research, user experience, or data analytics
  • Experience with predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and/or data visualization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (e.g., surveys, digital interviews, focus groups, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills for both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to comfortably liaise with product managers, product designers, and marketers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience or passion for technology and/or media
  • Experience with Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Tableau (visualization)
