Job Description

Cloud Engineer, Development COE Max bill rate - between $115-120/hr


• 3-5 years related experience with minimum of 2 years working in a DevOps enterprise environment

• Experience provisioning and managing applications in both virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS or Azure preferred)

• Experience in shell scripting for process automation, preferably utilizing Ansible and/or Templating languages such as Cloud Formation (AWS), ARM (Azure), or Terraform

• Experience utilizing Jenkins for continuous integration

• Ability to take ownership of issue analysis and resolution efforts and commitment to resolve technical issues in a 24x7 SLA-bound operating environment

• Service oriented approach, with the ability to focus on and deliver assigned tasks in an Agile, DevOps methodology

• Understanding of cloud security principles and techniques including but not limited to elastic network security and cloud native/PaaS security constructs Eligibility Requirements

• Must be willing to work in one of the aforementioned locations

• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must be willing to provide support during non-business hours as needed


Desired Characteristics

• B.S. degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field strongly preferred

• Container orchestration experience in Kubernetes is a plus

• Minimum: 3 years, 5 years (Preferred) • DevOps: 2 years (Preferred)

• Experience with serverless technologies, preferably Lambda

• Hands-on experience managing cloud based systems and/or cloud native clusters

• Able to communicate effectively in a diverse team of varying skillsets and proficiencies. Able to lead and instruct, or take advice and direction when appropriate. Effective in-person, written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working in large, multifaceted and matrixed organizations

• Experience within media entertainment industry

• Collaborative team player accustomed to working within and across groups

• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage time effectively

• Ability to translate business process needs into clear technical requirements

• Ability to influence internal and external team members without direct reporting authority

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to relate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Engineer will make a key contribution supporting automation services, including implementing automation and custom APIs for provisioning, network & security services and insights for our public and private cloud platforms

• Perform integrations with using Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) platforms, with existing and emerging technologies

• Design, implement, and test features end to end for pertinent cloud and automation technologies.

• Implement NBCU security best practices for cloud infrastructure.

• Create supporting documentation and utilize self-documenting scripting/coding techniques for service consumers as well as business users to be able to understand your products.
