ektello is seeking IT Project Manager IV for one of our top finance clients in Chicago, IL. Out client has made a name for itself as a powerhouse in finance industry for the past 65 years. As of 2015, our client has an annual revenue of $3.6 billion as well as 19, 000 employees worldwide in operations spanning over 40 countries across Europe, North America, and more.

  • Help organize the complete body of Emmi product work, including the efforts required from multiple groups to execute on the 2018 PE roadmap
  • Understand technical dependencies in detail, and project manage complex technical projects through to launch
  • Meet with partners from multiple business functions to discuss projects on the engineering roadmap and business needs

  • Provide technical implementation guidance, while troubleshooting and escalating issues
  • Understand operational workflows, identify and implement processes to drive operational scaling, and create new processes when appropriate
  • Identify, route and solve major product escalations with product and engineering teams
  • Communicate timely and accurate status to appropriate stakeholders
  • Remove impediments to progress, assist with addressing team to team dependencies, and shield team from external interference
  • Track progress and ensure visibility by preparing agile metrics relevant to appropriate teams
  • Facilitate discussion and alternatives when conflict arises
  • Create project plans for tracking key milestones, features, dependencies and target dates
  • Communicate project activities, issues, and risks through status reporting
  • Identify gaps of missing roles/resources and escalate/assist with resolution
  • Manage usage of proper change management processes and documentation
  • Hold project teams accountable to their commitments
  • Support teams with managing roadblocks to their work

  • Bachelor' s Degree
  • 3-5+ years working in a Technology environment preferably in project management
  • 2-3+ years of Scrum Master experience (preferably in software development)
  • 3+ years managing projects to successful completion
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong team management skills; ability to instill commitment among team members at all levels
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with expertise in balancing multiple, rapidly-moving projects.
  • Superb judgment with the ability to make decisions and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • Previous experience in leading high visibility, cross-functional global projects with ability to effectively influence distributed teams across multiple business functions.
  • Successful completion of building out large-scale project plans with resources, effort, dependencies, and full SDLC
  • Experience communicating effectively and seamlessly with devel­ op­ ers, non-technical business partners and top management, includ­ ing progress and issues reporting to all levels within the organization
  • Strong experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Office 365, as well as adaptability to additional project planning tools as needed
  • Strong adaptability, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organization, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
