Integration and Test for Infotainment Systems

(W2 only)

This is a test execution role where you will contribute to the development and test of embedded software for Automotive Infotainment components. This includes execution of automated and manual tests on benches and in vehicles. The testing will utilize a mixture of traditional and Software Behavior Test methods.


The ideal candidate is typically early in their career and motivated to face challenges. This is a fast-paced role. The candidate will experience new things on daily basis and flexibility will be key to their success.


  • Responsible for executing both manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment subsystem functional and performance requirements.
  • Configure benches to support specific test scenarios
  • Characterize and document defects including identifying steps to reproduce, linking failures to requirements, and collecting all associated test logs
  • Interact with multiple engineering disciplines (Systems, Software Development, Validation, Suppliers) to define support defect resolution
  • Provide report outs to senior leaders regarding System/Subsystem bench testing progress
  • Update test cases as required
  • Experienced in all aspects of Design and Development of Automotive Electronic Controllers (ECUs), especially of Audio Systems, their application and integration in Vehicle Design
  • Experienced with Software and Calibrations work and Vehicle Serial Data Communication using LAN, LIN, and MOST networks
  • Pro-actively interact with multiple tier 1 suppliers to coordinate software build release
  • Define and document system level issues between components of the subsystem
  • Interact with suppliers to resolve system issues
  • Review test logs to determine where subsystem issues reside
  • Coordinate system software releases to other development groups within the company
  • Run integration meetings, create minute, create and track action item lists
  • Travel as needed to support suppliers
  • Troubleshoot Captured Test Fleet issues


Must Have Skills:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering; preferably from a top 100 University
  • 0-3+ years of experience; For a recent graduate, will look for Android experience. For candidates with 2-5+ years of experience, will look for relevant Infotainment experience.
  • Ability to manage complex problems and propose solutions


  • Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in the Infotainment domain
  • Experience with GMLAN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Strong Project Management and Organizational skills
  • Ability to speak the Chinese language a plus

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others


Location:             Warren, MI

Duration:            Long-term Contract (12+ months)
