ektello is looking for a Research Analyst for one of our top multimedia clients in New York City. Our client boasts an impressive portfolio of news and entertainment television networks, world-renowned theme parks, a prominent motion picture company, and much more

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily administrative tasks in support of the SVP of Strategy, Research & Development
  • Generate daily/weekly TV ratings data and compile into regular reporting
  • Handle ad-hoc series and film performance requests from the domestic distribution sales team
  • Conduct regular SVOD catalogue research for our catalogue and 2nd window deal trackers
  • Maintain databases of viewing data used for regular story-finding
  • Compile Canadian network & program ratings data into monthly reports
  • Update National network research highlights and one-sheets in PowerPoint
  • Pull audience demographic & market break data for broadcast & cable networks & programs
  • Manage and update daily cable network overnight reporting
  • Update competitive network/program rankers across various demos and dayparts
  • Update series/film research decks and databases by distributor
  • Provide top line and detailed analyses, tracking reports and presentations covering our client’ s Network TV/Movie content on digital platforms
  • Assist in running reporting, and maintaining quality control for new cross-platform data system that will enable 360-degree look at our client’ s network show performance on various platforms

Qualifications
  • Bachelor' s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Statistics or any media related field
  • Minimum of one year in media research with a broadcast or cable network, or major digital video platform
  • Must be well versed in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint), particularly Excel – formatting, charts, macros and pivot tables
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Nielsen systems (NNTV, NPower, AdIntel), MRI, comScore, DAVD or Domo
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals across different departments and research suppliers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative research with client needs in mind
  • Proven ability to work in a high-pressure fast paced environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the evolving TV/Media landscape preferred
