LEAD DIGITAL DESIGNER

40-hours a week
Monday - Thursday onsite, Fridays remote
Pay - 95-100k conversion salary

THE ROLE
The Lead, Digital Designer is a highly creative and strategic role responsible for developing, executing, and evolving the brand’s digital presence across all platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of design principles, as well as user experience. The Lead, Digital Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and external agencies, to ensure brand consistency and the successful execution of interactive design projects that will stand out and separate the brand from competitors in the market. This role demands proficiency in creating digital marketing assets, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver innovative design solutions that meet business needs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and brand integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with the Creative Director and Manager, Design to ensure brand standards are delivered across all creative assets and throughout the marketing funnel.
• Provide leadership in the development of the design strategy and vision, devising and implementing creative programs that optimize UI/UX.
• Lead a portfolio of work to deliver user-centric interactions across digital platforms, collaborating with product teams on design roadmaps.
• Contribute to the enhancement of the digital design system and development of best practices for the enterprise design function.
• Oversee the production of high-quality content, including animation and video, ensuring all assets are optimized for digital use.
• Maintain and evolve the digital design style guide, ensuring consistency across all digital assets.
• Work alongside internal design teams on creative projects from concept to completion, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with business objectives.
• Create visually stunning digital marketing assets, including concepting, visual design, testing, and quality control.
• Ensure the design, layout, and coordination of marketing collateral across various media, including print, digital, and email.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to drive the development and approval of creative assets.
• Manage multiple project timelines, coordinating with marketing and collaborative team members to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop new creative concepts supporting various business aspects, including brand initiatives, consumer and trade media, and special projects.
• Develop or oversee development of branded PowerPoint templates and C-suite presentations.
• Train internal and external departments on implementation of and adherence to brand guidelines across digital platforms.
• Present and sell creative work to key stakeholders, including channel owners, internal leaders, and executive leadership.
• Stay updated with industry trends, proposing and executing innovative digital design ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Minimum of BA/BS/BFA in Digital Design, Interaction Design, UX/UI, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or similar field
Years of experience:
• 5-7 years experience in digital design in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
• Experience managing/directing other creatives a plus
Essential qualifications and skills:
• A robust portfolio showcasing strong understanding of design and UX/UI principles and a variety of deliverables.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, prototyping tools, and HTML/CSS, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and project management platforms like Wrike. Familiarity with front-end technologies is a must.
• Strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, responsive and mobile-first design principles, and design optimization.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to balance business acumen with innovative design, prioritizing user experience and eCommerce KPIs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in leading and inspiring design teams, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration.
• Up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and design technology, with a hunger for continuous learning and development.
• High accuracy, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, managing cross-team collaboration effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative and successful creative strategies.
