Purpose/Scope:
The primary focus of this role will be to provide mobility, support, and maintenance with show car properties, inventory supplies, equipment, and furniture. This includes all departmental day-to-day and miscellaneous tasks to help support events, shows, presentations, Operations, Facilities, Security, and other business-related items.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support Operations, Design, and Facilities with miscellaneous tasks
Prototype Model Handler – moving, shipping, and supporting remote events
Conduct regular maintenance on studio and shop equipment
Assist with shipping & receiving of large bulky items and placing them in their designated areas
Operate forklift, Stringo (vehicle mover), scissor lift, trailer, etc.
Travel with show-car prototypes to support setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Fulfilling movement requests of large items around the studio and campus
Set up furniture, inventory, presentations, event clean-up, and CATCH-ALL work
Handy work, light repairs, maintenance, upkeep, etc.
Requirements:
Work in a team based, cross-functional environment interacting face-to-face on a daily basis
Must be able to work in a high quality and demanding environment
Other duties outside of role may be assigned, as necessary.
Occasional travel to assist with show events
Available to work overtime, when business requires.
May be required to work weekends and after hours
A valid Driver s License is required (CDL preferred)
Able to use Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by procedures & signage. May encounter hazardous material requiring additional PPE, including respiratory protection (employee must be physically capable to wear a respirator)
Perform activities as physical job, where employee may have to lift as much as 50 pounds and regularly bend reach & walk
Top 3 Skills:
Mechanically inclined with how prototype vehicles work
Hands-on ability to fix mechanical issues on-the-fly with vehicles, shop equipment, facility equipment, and construction savvy
Versatility and willingness to tackle a variety of work from high profile projects to daily menial tasks
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
Able to move large heavy items
Forklift experience and certification
Construction knowledge
Class-C license, Class-A is a plus
Proficient in MS Office applications
Able to create documents for tracking and presentation purposes
Education/Experience:
Bachelor s degree preferred and 3-5 years of operations experience (open to Associate Degree or HS Diploma)
Corporate experience
Location: Pasadena, CA Duration: 12+ month W2 contract Pay Range: $40.00 per to $47.00 per hour; depending on Experience and Education
