Summary:
The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.
Job Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
Set up project and work breakdown structures.
Establish and document business processes.
Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.

Education/Experience:

Detailed Description:
• Advanced bilingual skills in both English and Korean is mandatory. Must be able to read, write, speak in both professionally.
• Excellent communication skills is required as this position communicates constantly with external teams/departments. Must be skilled in identifying purpose and requesting answer when writing emails/hosting meetings.
• Must be an active worker who is engaged in problem solving versus passively waiting on others to resolve an issue.
• Must pay close attention to detail - detail orientation is required to create new reports/excel tables/emails & analyze any existing/received external data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook) - able to create Excel tables from scratch, perform VLOOKUP, and Pivot.
• Able to collaborate with team; provide team lead with detailed reports that are to the point to keep everyone in the loop.
• Perform financial forecasting, set up annual business plan and rolling plan, variance analysis of actual versus forecast, and reconciliation of internal accounts to assess strategic decision alternatives.
• Perform monthly profit and loss closing process.
• Prepare current financial status by month-end closing to analyze the variances between Planned Budget versus Actual based on annual business plan.
• Support internal and external teams with R&D Tax Credit preparation.
• Set up yearly investment plans and quarterly overhead plans (or as requested) for SEA/HQ.
• Request for and obtain HQ PUMIs to submit SEA PUMIs; must have strong communication skills when interacting with multiple teams & understand finance basics to obtain approvals for budget usage.
• Provide various financial reports as needed to team manager (Labor, Outsourcing, Travel, Entertainment, LVA, etc).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage expenses.
• Coordinate with financial management teams to identify and reconcile expense errors.
• Assist strategic planning to reduce costs and improve effectiveness of financial operation.
• Perform resource management tasks by communicating with managers; track data and create resource related reports.
• Create weekly resource reports on local offices current resource, visitor, and event/news status based on researched data.
• Support local managers with new hires/terminations to obtain seating chart, support with asset, badge access, NDA security, etc.
• Support with third-party indirect contractors onboard & offboard process (entails submitting tickets to SEA HR & communicating with third-party vendors).
• Assist and coordinate with asset management via collaboration with related teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as GA, IT Helpdesk, Security, Mobile team based on any inquiries or requests from teams.
• All Other Duties as assigned by team lead.
