Summary:
The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.

Job Responsibilities:
Review and approve contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
Approve project and work breakdown structures.
Review and approve the documentation of business processes.
Approve project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.
Consult with corporate offices, project managers, auditors, client and sub-consultant representatives regarding future proposals.
Prepare sub-agreements and review and input sub-consultant invoices to ensure contact compliance.

Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
8-10 years experience required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES/REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
• Monitor and support the execution of fulfillment orders across the eCommerce/omni channel network
• Develop and create data tables to support day to day store fulfillment operations
• Create forecasting for fulfillment based on current plans and metrics in conjunction with Finance
• Engage and collaborate with IT/Data Engineering Team to align programs/projects in support of supply chain business objectives and strategies
• Identify, recommend and implement improvement opportunities in work methods, procedures, or equipment to increase throughput and/or quality.
• Monitor and analyze identified and established key operating metrics and assists in development and maintenance of an accurate measurement system.
• Leverage reporting and dashboards to drive process improvements resulting in reduced costs and improved service.
• Lead or participate on process improvement teams and prepares project reports for management.
• Monitor and maintain information related to Fulfillment throughputs across all stages
• Act and support team as Subject Matter Expert on reporting capabilities and performance monitoring tools
• Strong Analytical skills
• Keen attention to detail and technical acumen
• Works independently to support Time critical Fulfillment operations. Holds decision making for monitoring and triaging any major system issues including escalation, resolution and communication to maintain/restore fulfillment operation

Required Experience:
• Business analysis and business process management skills
• Project management and Team Management Skills
• Understanding of order management, distribution and transportation processes
• Experience with fulfillment/eCom domains
• Experience with supply chain metrics and their use to drive process improvements
• Proven process improvement experience
• Effective communicator and ability to influence others to accomplish team objectives

Technical Expertise:
• Minimum 5+ Experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics
• Experience with BI reporting tools (Tableau)
• Experience in Elastic Search/Kibana
• Advanced Excel skills
• Good Understanding of MPP/Distributed Database systems
• Advanced SQL Skills - At least 2 Years of experience in developing Advanced SQL
• Create, modify, maintain distribution of reports using multiple data inputs, systems and tools
