Business Analyst Location: New York, NY Pay: $70-$77 hr based on experience
Summary:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst operates a key contributor, working closely with Project Managers, Business and Product Stakeholders, and Internal Development and Testing teams. This position will play a primary supporting role by identifying process issues, creating business systems requirements, proposing IT solutions, and working with Project Team to streamline, troubleshoot and resolve issues.as they arise throughout the system development lifecycle. The position will be working in a continuous delivery environment.
Responsibilities:
Research and gather system requirements, map system processes, and create user stories, diagrams and data flows.
Apply your analytical skills to research multi-part legacy system processes to derive actionable insights for process and product improvements.
Analyze, understand, and map complex system processes into user stories, data flows, and business system requirements, including the analysis and understanding of eCommerce, Point of Sale Systems, financial reporting systems and SAP and Data Warehouse interfaces.
Produce high quality documentation and business and system process models, as a result of the discovery and evaluation process.
Build relationships between IT and the business partners by building trust and creating a credible partnership.
Monitor the original requirements throughout quality assurance testing and implementation to ensure that they are effectively delivered.
Drive the desired business value-added results by aligning all technology needs and the overall priorities.
Adhere to established IT policies and procedures including the Project Lifecycle Methodology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 7+ years of relevant technical or business work experience.
Work closely with project managers, scrum masters, product managers, development and testing teams and business stakeholders to deliver solutions. • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to learn and apply best practices and always strive for high quality deliverables.
Think and work independently, demonstrate creativity to help deliver quick and actionable results.
Additional Info:
3-5 year of experience
Support propositions including streaming services inlcuding Peacock, Now TV (ireland, germany), Showtime, ShowMax
Background working with QA teams or has worked on trials is plus
QA, UAT, or Beta Testing are huge bonus, creating test cases would be beneficial (manual testing) streaming is preferred but she is open to any software testing experience
Top skills: strong communicator (must be able to ask?s and take ownership), technical knowledge of Jira, UAT support, defect management)
Help facilitate phases of trials, call it Project Gold or Project Now
Assist recruitment/management of trial users (staff or customers)
Onboarding to platform for end user trials
Segmentation bases on trials
Centercode, easy piece of software for end user trials (no previous knowledge required), used for beta testing, trials, onboarding of customers, updating tests
once live in customer trials to monitor customer systems, inbox, slack (will house feedback, issues, etc.)
data collection, provide clear communication, internal partners, staff, and customers
supports direct to consumer business, QA, delivery managers, PMO team, stakeholders, developers, product stakeholders
SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, heavy use of Smartsheet, Jira (feedback is tracked into Jira and will become bug ticket), Confluence
Digital streaming product experience is nice to have, entertainment background is nice to have
