Duties:
Support community-building efforts across the technical organization through events, forums, and contributor networks
Support US Policy Communications Lead by spearheading organizational support for the team, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and integration with other functions, and providing surge capacity for overall policy communications needs nationwide.
Serve as connective tissue between regional U.S. comms leads and communicating priorities internally to key stakeholders on other teams.
Develop internal and external written materials: press materials, story pitches, op-eds, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, talking points, etc
Identify opportunities to partner with public policy team regarding new community policies that protect the business and strengthen the company’s reputation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, including supporting a team in a communications and administrative capacity
Strong process-oriented skills and passion for learning, improving, and sharing best practices.
Confidence driving communications process and ensuring team organization. Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate across departments and to all levels of the organization.
Strong communication and writing skills. Prior experience working with press and in communications.
Positive attitude, enthusiasm and ability to keep a level head in even the most stressful situations
