The Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management, reporting, and analysis for the business unit. The Controller develops strong relationships with all levels of the business and ensures reporting is accurate, timely, and responsive to the business’ requirements.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all accounting functions within the business unit.
Leads the annual budgeting and strategic planning exercises to develop plans for the upcoming year. Works with Business Unit (BU) Head and Company CFO on long term strategy and policy development.
Management of internal manual and computerized systems to track, report on and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other significant metrics.
Communicates with staff on targets, performance, and necessary adjustments to ensure achievement of BU objectives in terms of KPIs targets, and other BU goals.
Works with the IT team to set and meet their targets through effective goal-setting, ongoing assessment, and coaching.
Leads analysis of the business to ensure revenue and cost reduction improvements.
Understands, reinforces, and ensures compliance with company policies.
Committed to continuous process improvement.
Sets an example and provides leadership by instilling company goals and objectives.
Manages a staff of support team members to ensure financial operations area is efficient and financial data and reporting is accurate and timely.
Communicate and present financial reports to senior leadership across the BU and company Senior Executives.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with 7-10 years of related, progressive experience.
CPA designation required.
Must have experience as the Controller of a large corporate organization, preferably in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience.
People management experience / Leadership, with excellent communication, networking, collaborative, and relational skills.
Strong presentation skills - must be comfortable speaking/presenting to key stakeholders and Senior Leadership.
Superior analytical skills.
Strong computer skills especially in Excel and database systems.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Minimal travel requirements.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in QlikView, Qlik Sense, SQL script, SAP BPC, and SAP Business Objects is desired.
Import/Export experience is preferred.
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
