Corporate Accountant – Tax Specialist

They have decades of experience and expertise coupled with an unwavering passion for progress and innovative technologies. The North American headquarters in Bluffton, Ohio specializes in the design and production of automated assembly equipment and machining centers for the electromobility, automotive, aerospace, medical, and die/mold industries.
They are experiencing incredible growth, and looking to add a Corporate Accountant – Tax Specialist to their team. This role will support the finance department by providing strategic guidance on tax planning, monitoring, and compliance. This individual must be self-motivated and have excellent analytical skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
- Make sure company is complying with federal, state and local tax regulations
- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
- Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax estimates
- Responsible for Sales and Use tax reporting
- Responsible for franchise tax reporting
- Assist payroll with establishing out of state filing procedures
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a tax accountant or similar role
- Good understanding of MS Office
- SAP experience preferred, but not required
- In-depth knowledge of accounting
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
