Data Analyst: Local Candidates only Location: Universal City, CA hybrid role, onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, WFH Monday and Friday
There will be 1-2 Teams interviews and possibly 1 onsite interview for final contenders. Job Duties:
Responsible for designing, modeling, developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system(s) requirements.
Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning. Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
Identify data governance gaps that may present organizational barriers and find ways to close them
Comfortable working within a culture of accountability and experimentation
Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement solutions and generate reporting to meet business goals
Demonstrate critical thinking for potential roadblocks; comprehends bigger picture of the business and effectively communicates these issues to greater news digital organization
Collaborates with reporting teams and business owners to turn data into actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools
Additional Notes:
The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Information Technology or other related IT/Safety related field and a year of experience, this is a beginner level role Microsoft Suite experience is a must
This candidate will be identifying and assessing IT Security risks for 3rd party vendors that NBCU uses for various media needs
This is a collaborative role because they will be communicating with the 3rd party vendors as well as their internal team. Communication should be very good, as this person will need to communicate and report on any security risks that they may discover.
