Senior Designer, Men’s Wovens
  • Contract: 3-Months with potential to extend
  • Hybrid/On-site, NYC
  • $50/hr

Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Senior Designer, Men’s Wovens to join our team in building compelling, customer-focused collections. This role operates at the intersection of trend, culture, and commerce—driving innovative design concepts that feel fresh, relevant, and true to brand DNA.

The ideal candidate brings a strong point of view, a passion for menswear, and the ability to lead design from concept through final product. You will play a key role in shaping seasonal direction, influencing cross-functional partners, and delivering product that exceeds customer expectations in style, fit, quality, and value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of Men’s Woven categories, with a focus on shirting and outerwear
  • Research global markets and analyze emerging trends, silhouettes, fabrics, and techniques to inform seasonal direction
  • Translate insights into innovative, commercially viable concepts that align with brand vision
  • Create and present seasonal concepts, sketches, and design stories to internal leadership
  • Drive a strong point of view on trend relevance, customer needs, and competitive positioning
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution from concept to store and digital channels
  • Collaborate with Production and Technical Design to develop detailed tech packs, ensuring design intent, fit, quality, and margin targets are achieved
  • Oversee the creation of sketches, CADs, and presentation materials for key milestones
  • Lead and participate in fittings, providing clear direction to achieve best-in-class product
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, contributing to team development and creative culture
  • Drive innovation through risk-taking, new ideas, and continuous improvement across product and process

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8+ years of experience in menswear design, with a strong focus on woven categories
  • Proven experience designing shirting and/or outerwear
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric development
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD development
  • Experience creating and managing tech packs and working through the product lifecycle
  • Deep knowledge of current and emerging fashion trends, with the ability to translate into brand-right product
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence partners
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
