Designer, Men’s Wovens
  • Contract: 3-months with potential to extend
  • Hybrid/On-site in NYC
  • $45/hr
Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer, Men’s Wovens to support the development of elevated, trend-right product across key categories. This role is ideal for a designer who is passionate about menswear and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will play a hands-on role in bringing seasonal concepts to life—supporting design from initial trend research through final product execution. The ideal candidate combines strong creative skills with technical expertise and a deep understanding of the product development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research fashion trends, global markets, and competitive landscape to support seasonal design direction
  • Create original design concepts through sketching (black & white and color-ups) and CAD development
  • Assist in the design and development of Men’s Woven categories, including shirting and outerwear
  • Execute detailed tech packs (Gap Paks) in partnership with Production and Technical Design
  • Support fabric selection and manage seasonal fabric and color ordering
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to ensure alignment and execution
  • Participate in fittings, providing input on fit, construction, and overall product quality
  • Prepare presentation materials, including CADs and boards, for internal meetings
  • Track development of styles and follow up to ensure timely execution

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in apparel or fashion design, preferably in menswear
  • Experience working with woven categories (e.g., shirting, outerwear)
  • Strong sketching ability (both hand sketching and digital CAD)
  • Working knowledge of garment construction, fit, and product development processes
  • Experience creating tech packs and partnering with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
