Job Description
We are in search of a talented Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team at our Corporate headquarters in beautiful Greeley, CO. This role is at the heart of our financial operations, where you will play a key part in preparing US GAAP and IFRS financial statements and disclosures. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with external auditors, managing audit schedules, and researching complex accounting topics.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct data accumulation and in-depth analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.
- Prepare quarterly and annual US GAAP financial statements and comprehensive footnote disclosures, demonstrating a strong grasp of GAAP requirements.
- Collaborate with our audit partners for quarterly reviews and annual audits by providing audit schedules and support.
- Contribute to the preparation of IFRS financial statements and corresponding footnote disclosures.
- Assist with other external reporting requirements on a monthly and quarterly basis, engaging with various stakeholders such as banks and government entities.
- Play a vital role in special projects as they arise, including bond offerings and acquisitions.
- Conduct in-depth research on US GAAP and IFRS accounting issues.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a requirement.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for a mix of public accounting and industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP reporting, encompassing financial statement preparation and review.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Excel or spreadsheet functionality.
- Exceptional time management abilities.
- A CPA designation is a plus.
- Knowledge of IFRS reporting is a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting, including consolidation and foreign currency translation.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
- A quick learner with the ability to carry out responsibilities independently with appropriate training.
- Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- As a salaried position, you may be required to travel to other facilities or Company events, serving as a representative of the Company.
**Compensation and Benefits:**
- Competitive base salary in the range of $70,000-$90,000.
