Job Summary:
We are seeking a CGI Quality Assurance Specialist to review high-polygon and low-polygon 3D files from internal and external teams. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong technical expertise, and the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback on modeling quality and technical specifications. This role involves evaluating 3D assets, ensuring they meet production standards, and effectively communicating improvements to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and assess high-poly and low-poly 3D files for quality, accuracy, and adherence to technical specifications.
Provide detailed feedback and direction to internal and external teams to improve asset quality.
Utilize Smartsheets for task management and workflow tracking.
Analyze technical specifications and ensure compliance with industry and project standards.
Collaborate with artists and designers to maintain consistency and optimize workflows.
Assist in maintaining and refining QA processes for 3D asset review.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in 3ds Max and V-Ray (required).
Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering principles.
Experience working with high-poly and low-poly assets.
Familiarity with technical specifications and asset optimization.
Prior QA experience in CGI, game development, or 3D visualization is highly preferred.
Soft Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and articulate issues in 3D assets.
Excellent communication skills to provide clear and constructive feedback.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
Portfolio of work is required (not mandatory for the QA role, but preferred).
Candidates may be required to complete an art test as part of the interview process. If unavailable, they must submit relevant files for review.
