As a HR Specialist is responsible in providing services to the HR department and supporting Korean Expatriates who are dispatched from HQ.
The position will provide data management and support of expatriate benefit operations under close supervision of Expat HRBP

Overview
As a foreign headquartered organization, we have individuals who are working in the Americas on expatriate assignment from Korea. In Regional Human Resources (HR), we are responsible for providing a full range of support services to all expatriates (expats) within the organization in USA. This individual will be required to communicate daily with all levels of expats while liaising with the North America Regional Office to provide support of their pre-boarding/ onboarding/ and off-boarding in USA. As the population that this position supports are coming from Korea, this role requires excellent Korean and English language skills, written and oral.

Responsibilities:
• With the supervision of Mobility Talent Team lead, regularly communicate with the internal HR teams on daily support and operations and expatriates benefit inquiries
o Support Expats for their US onboarding to support ONSITE APPEARNCE to facilitate US Govt Doc such as DMV, SSA, USCIS, Bank etc
o Provide support 24/7 ADHOC OPERATION as required for emergency site visit such as ER, Accident scenes, and other urgent matter during emergency
o Provide ORIENTATION AND OTHER ON-BOARDING SUPPORT to expats upon arrival, including assistance with housing and other personal matters
o Support HR EVENTS TO FACILITATE AND COORDINATE YEAR ROUND EVENTS for expats including in-house or external seminars and recreation activities
• Collect expatriates data to accurately process and store various HR data by maintaining an electronic filing system with appropriate naming and categorization of electronic documents
• Manage expatriate database daily on updating confidential HR documents and profile to integrate on the tax, payroll, and benefit management
• Prioritize and manage service to expatriates based on business objectives and customer needs
• Work closely within the team and other HR departments in order to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Build strong relationships with coworkers in order to share ideas and strategies.
• Utilize data and research to inform the development of current practice and policy
• As an interpreter, admin is responsible for using his/her knowledge of multiple languages (Korean/English) to help Korean expats communicate with locals.
• Assist in coordination of onboarding/ off boarding process of expatriates when needed including asset placement, housing support, benefit inquiries and other HR related areas of their US benefit questions.
• Providing assistance to administrative duties required within HR team to support any adhoc or required assistance within mobility talent team.

Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in finance/ HR or related field
* Minimum 2 years experience in Corporate environment
• Bilingual Korean and English Skills (Reading / Writing / Speaking)
• Proficient in advance excel Vlookup, Powerpoint, MS Office
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships (customer service skills)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable to change and fast-acting.
• Excellent organizational/planning/time management skills

Qualifications:
• Thorough knowledge of Korean business culture, etiquette and practices.
• Experience in administering and applying corporate policies at the individual level
• Strong interpersonal verbal/written skills; especially in person, on a client site. This is critical to relationship building and expectations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to HR responsibilities.
• Onsite customer facing experience.
• Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate a technical situation while managing the operational challenges.
• Working independently and able to re-prioritization of tasks/events/commitments quickly based on contract, client, and business situations.
• Highly skills at prioritization, planning, working independently all within standard policies and business standards.
• Fluency in Korean
• Dress code: Business professional.

A typical human resources specialist is responsible for a wide range of organization development activities, such as employee compensation, recruitment (as it relates to policy), personnel policies and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities:
Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures and classification program.
Review and approve job positions, classifications, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary.
Review and approve prepared occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales.
Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers, and mediate labor disputes and grievance.

Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Strong knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action).
Strong knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
8-10 years customer service related experience required.
