Maintenance Technician Lead Location: Carmel, IN (Onsite) Shift: 1st Duration: 6 months to hire
Job Summary:
Oversee maintenance and automation operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of equipment and facilities, with a focus on advanced systems such as fluid power, electrical, CNC machines, and robotics.
Lead a team of maintenance and automation technicians.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support a team, providing guidance, training, and support.
Schedule and assign tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to maintenance schedules.
Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on key equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to proactively address potential issues.
Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
Maintain accurate records, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source necessary parts and supplies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Develop and implement procedures, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance productivity and quality.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a light assembly and fabrication environment, with exposure to advanced systems.
Technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience leading a team and coordinating maintenance and automation activities.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Intermediate computer skills, including the use of email and software interfaces.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
