The Marketing Manager manages the implementation of many of the Go-To Market (GTM) plans for Americas Fixed Income and Insurance segment focused efforts. The GTM plans include contributing to strategy development, product positioning, content development, execution and distribution of tactics and measurement with the goal of improving and enhancing our ability to win and retain assets.
A significant portion of this role is directly responsible for supporting and executing third-party sponsorships, including those conducted jointly with Oak Hill Advisors (OHA). This role supports the Head of Product Marketing, Fixed Income, as well as the broader Americas marketing team and will interact with other Business Units (BUs) and enterprise partners, such as Investments, Global Brand, Global Compliance, our content development team (IPRC), Public Relations, and more.
Principal Responsibilities
Creative idea generation as well as tactical planning in support of identified business initiatives:
Develops tactical plans to support and position specific investment capabilities or initiatives
Given budget, resources, and analysis of the competitive landscape draws on appropriate marketing tools (content, road shows, speaking opportunities, webinars, sponsorships, PR, web) to promote and differentiate identified strategies and/or initiatives
Analyzes and monitors relevant industry trends and draws on investment and market knowledge to make informed recommendations and decisions.
Manages the development and execution of integrated investment marketing campaigns:
Drawing on investment and market knowledge, as well as marketing and project management skills, manages the execution of engaging, timely and integrated campaigns to support marketing efforts focused on Fixed Income and Insurance General Account initiatives.
An important focus is on data and KPI metrics related to GTM efforts including engagement pre- and post-events.
The use of Tableau to keep track of such data will be necessary.
Also responsible for developing social posts for LinkedIn participants; overseeing the content on the Americas institutional website (IDE); managing the content on the monthly Insurance-focused emails and the fixed income content on the Americas bi-weekly emails.
Communicates campaign and content strategy:
Informs relationship managers around ongoing GTM efforts thru participation in various Americas team meetings (Sales, Consulting, Client Service).
Ad Hoc Projects:
Supports various ad hoc marketing projects and initiatives as appropriate including being the Americas representative on cross business unit efforts (i.e., Global Market Outlook / Mid-year Market Outlook)
Qualifications
College degree and 2 years of related work experience, or associate degree and 4 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 6 years related work experience
Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
Base knowledge of institutional investment strategies and portfolio positioning
Knowledge of financial markets and investing
Marketing and project management related experience
Intellectual curiosity and knowledge of current trends in the Institutional marketplace
A personal drive to impact business results
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated, creative, responsible, with excellent attention to detail
Creative thinker and problem solver
Familiarity with investment or financial services industry
Team-oriented
An ability to execute
Ability to interact and work collaboratively with senior investment professionals and executives
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience that combines marketing, communications, and investments preferably with an investment management firm
Extensive experience working in the institutional asset management field, particularly with fixed income products
Experience with LinkedIn, email, and digital marketing strategies
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, marketing, or communications
Current MBA and/or CFA (or currently pursuing degree/designation)
