Job Description

Maintenance Technician Lead
Location: Greenfield, IN (Onsite)
Shift: 1st
Duration: 6 months to hire

Job Summary:
  • Oversee maintenance and automation operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of equipment and facilities, with a focus on advanced systems such as fluid power, electrical, CNC machines, and robotics.
  • Lead a team of maintenance and automation technicians.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Schedule and assign tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on key equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to proactively address potential issues.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
  • Maintain accurate records, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source necessary parts and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement procedures, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a light assembly and fabrication environment, with exposure to advanced systems.
  • Technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience leading a team and coordinating maintenance and automation activities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including the use of email and software interfaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
