Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer will support the development of a lean culture with robust problem solving, provide hands on supervision to the maintenance team, execute hands on repair / upgrades of equipment, and is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality.
he Maintenance Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer will participate in the planning and reviewing of activities to improve products, processes, environments, and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer must demonstrate versatility, personal accountability, contributor attitude, and drive to foster continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities:
Work hands on with and lead/supervise maintenance personnel, and facilitate the resolution of issues that affect safety and downtime. Ensure maintenance team and resources meet company needs within budgeted target costs.
Determine and implement a schedule for equipment preventative maintenance (PM) with an eye towards predictive maintenance, while ensuring upkeep of existing maintenance equipment and facilities.
Lead safety improvement initiatives and ensure timely and effective remedy implementation for identified safety issues.
Train operators on new products and processes or major changes in existing products or processes.
Conduct training for appropriate associates, ensure all documentation for lock out and tag out meets applicable standards. Maintain required documentation in accordance with document control procedures.
Work collaboratively and effectively with direct reports, peers, and leadership to meet leadership metric goals.
Work with cross-functional teams to achieve LEAN reduction initiatives and ensure product launch initiatives are executed effectively.
Gather and analyze KPI data. Work with and develop a ‘partner relationship’ with outside technical contractors.
Specify, develop, and support the procurement of new tools and equipment.
Design for manufacturing as part of the product development process. Serve as the manufacturing engineer during product launch or engineering changes including; equipment specification, safety and injury mitigation, process validation, manufacturing readiness runs and associated resolutions.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field 10+ years of experience in manufacturing environment AutoCAD/SolidWorks proficiency MS Office Specification, installation, and commissioning of new and upgraded/rebuilt process, assembly, and production equipment
Project management experience
Experience with tooling, fixture, and equipment design for assembly
Exposure and experience with agile product development philosophies
Experience with controls, drives, HMI’s and PLCs (Allen Bradley)
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with web handling, roll to roll web coating, or textile manufacturing MS Project Key Traits:

Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and variations in temperature.
The noise level is low to moderate. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at time. Must be able to traverse plant, access, and navigate all areas of the plant. Ability to bend, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull, climb ladders, be on platforms, wear respirator and other PPE equipment. Ability to travel as required.
