Product Specialist (Home Appliance & Electronics) Position Type: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) Location: On-Site / Plano, TX Rate: 30.50 /hr. W2 Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer/Service Documentation Specialist with a strong technical background in Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics products.
In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing, developing, and maintaining high-quality service guides, technical documentation, and product function content. You will work independently to translate complex functional and technical requirements into clear, accessible documentation for service teams. Staying current on upcoming technical product knowledge, product features, and service procedures is essential for success in this seat. Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation Development: Author, prepare, review, and continuously improve technical documents, test procedures, user guides, installation manuals, and service manuals.
Knowledge & Content Management: Maintain up-to-date technical product knowledge across Samsung Home Appliance and Electronic product lines.
Issue Tracking & Resolution: Identify, report, and systematically follow up on documentation gaps, errors, or technical issues found during manual reviews.
Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate closely with internal Product Support teams, service engineers, and cross-functional groups to drive content quality improvements.
System Management: Comfortable reviewing technical documentation for accuracy and uploading assets to content management platforms and internal databases.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communications, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in technical writing, product support, service engineering, or electronics/appliance testing preferred.
Technical Skills & Capabilities
Hands-on Hardware Experience: Practical, hands-on experience working with Home Appliance products and basic technical/diagnostic analysis skills.
Complex Technical Translation: Ability to translate complex functional specifications into clear, step-by-step technical guides and user documentation.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and interface with diverse teams.
