Pay: 80-85k Conversion Salary
40-hours a week
Mon-Thurs Onsite, Fridays remote

THE ROLE:
The Senior Digital Designer is a highly creative visual designer with up-to-the-minute technical acumen. Living within the in-house creative agency, this role specializes in email marketing design, using their high level of expertise to deliver stunning digital concepts to meet the marketing team’s objectives. They will collaborate cross-functionally with other designers, copywriters and team leadership on projects to ensure brand consistency and alignment, and with the project management team to ensure timely delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, as well as an ever-evolving knowledge of user experience best practices to create visually appealing work while ensuring email campaigns are functional and impactful across all devices and email service providers. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver innovative design solutions that meet business needs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and brand integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop a high volume of design concepts for email marketing campaigns that are user experience-focused to achieve business goals.
• Execute projects of all sizes through the fullest understanding of graphic design, typography and digital standards.
• Execute template redesign initiatives and ensure that they are in line with brand guidelines.
• Produce and develop all creative assets for emails, including but not limited to, banners, animated GIFs, and optimized photographs for email rendering.
• Work closely with the email strategists to analyze performance of creative, and development of ideas to optimize email design, which includes A/B tests and other experiments.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, tools and design technology to propose and execute innovative, creative digital ideas.
• Meet the deadlines of various projects assigned and maintain clear communication with the team, which includes regular follow-up to adherence to delivery dates.
• Responsible for email marketing team’s digital asset management.
• Successfully communicate and presents design concepts with internal teams and leadership.
• Create visually stunning emails from start to finish, including, but not limited to concepting, visual design, testing, and quality control. Knowledge of HTML is a must, Java a strong plus.
• Devise and pitch creative email concepts that align with overall brand objectives, answer strategic needs of the initiative, and further the internal clients’ business goals. Provide multiple creative options for requests as needed.
• Ensure email campaigns are technically sound, functional, and responsive across devices.
• Collaborate with copywriters to ensure design and copy complement each email and reinforce the business objective.
• Demonstrate senior-level expertise in visual design, leveraging clean layout, sound typography and imagery fundamentals.
• Revise creative as needed. Review final materials for quality and accuracy and prep files for digital release.
• Manage multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications or similar field from an accredited four-year college or university or directly related, equivalent experience
Years of experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a Graphic Designer role in a fast-paced, multi-project corporate, digital marketing department or advertising agency environment
• Knowledge of email design and best practices
• Knowledge of mobile design and best practices
• Demonstrated proficiency with HTML and CSS, JavaScript a plus
• Experience in A/B testing and email testing using preview tools
• Time management/project management skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work on numerous projects simultaneously
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service and collaboration skills
• Hunger to learn continuing developments in the field
• Must be creative, passionate, detail-oriented and highly organized
• Must be a team player
Essential qualifications and skills:
• Portfolio of real-world work samples required showcasing a strong creative background across a diverse array of deliverables, including a proven background in executing email campaigns
• Advanced mastery of Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is required
• Demonstrated experience and up-to-date knowledge of Mac applications, including knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Experience with Wrike or similar project management platforms is a plus
• Experience in email HTML
• Front-end UI/UX design is a plus (but not required)
• Basic understanding of digital marketing principles, specifically email marketing best practices
• Strategic thinking, prioritization skills, troubleshooting and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of design as it pertains to email marketing; best practices for creating optimized email templates and responsive design
• Knowledge of digital media unit (banner ad) design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential
