Schedule: Fully remote or if local, working out of Owings Mills, MD location is available.
Duration: 6 months (possibility for extension up to 2 years).
Pay Rate: $55-$65 an hour based off experience.

Position Purpose:
You are a talented Program Manager with demonstrable experience in supporting the delivery of complex digital programs. Able to evidence a high level of commerciality in your decision-making process, you possess strong organizational, planning and communication skills. Well versed in stakeholder management, you have a proven ability to communicate across multiple levels of organizations, teams and external vendors.
Familiar with all phases of the digital product lifecycle and design thinking methodologies, you will be engaged with and contribute fully to all stages; planning, managing workflow and capacity planning across a mix of FTE, Contractor and third-party vendor design and research resources globally. Acting on behalf of the design and research function, you will work with a range of digital specialisms (POs, Technology) in addition to stakeholder groups (marketing, legal, compliance etc) to ensure any planned capacity & output aligns to roadmap priorities, and that resources are deployed in the most efficient and effective way that enable the delivery of high-quality design solutions at pace. Tracking burn rates, effort to complete different altitudes of work, and opportunities to further enhance and improve our delivery model over time. You are willing to provide hands on support in scheduling and/or facilitating team ceremonies, engagement sessions, research panel interviews etc. in support of the design and research function, helping to continue to drive our efficiency, captured actions and accountabilities.
Adept at working in both an agile, lab-style environment as well as large-scale production and delivery environments, you will play a key role in transforming our company’s digital capability, culture and the way we work.

Overview:
As part of a growing digital team, you have the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas and approaches, in partnership with a range of agency partners, digital experience consultants, product owners and technical teams. You will support the Design Director with setting the benchmark for operational efficiency within our design and research function that sets a new standard for our firm. You will help to:
Coordinate & facilitate end-to-end planning for design & research functions in their delivery for digital work
Support resource management & capacity planning
Triage requests for resource support
Enable access to all required systems for new joiners
Onboard new team members with appropriate access/ tools/ compliance tasks
Manage risk log, track mitigation plans and ensure these are communicated to relevant POs & Scrum masters
Document Design changes/ managing tasks resulting from changes in scope or approach communicated by the PO(s)
Coordinate meeting & ceremony scheduling & facilitation; internal team design reviews, PO & stakeholder sessions, ongoing collaborations with team/ partner/ stakeholders, initiative specific activities [research, workshops etc], retrospectives etc
Produce/ input into program status reports, capacity burn rate reports, tool usage & licensing spend etc for management

Support day-to-day ops:
Support Research specific activities: participant management, recruitment, tracking incentives paid, managing research outputs as part of broader project plans
Identify continuous improvement opportunities; facilitating retros and other inputs to ensure we continue to optimize the way we operate
Contribute to and help track how we monitor the value of the work that the design & research function delivers over time

Personal Attributes/ Skills/ Qualifications:
You will be a high achiever looking for your next big challenge and aiming to make a difference within the organization. The essential skills and qualities we will be looking for are:
Bachelor's degree in design, research, project management, or a related field or 5+ years proven experience as a Design Program Manager or in a similar role
Strong understanding of design & research principles and the design / research process
Understanding of design systems
Previous experience in managing multiple design / research projects simultaneously
Proficiency in project management tools and software, specifically: Trello, Microsoft Teams, Airtable & Rally
Experience managing design / research delivery within an agile environment and experience managing design / research as a contributor to multiple concurrent agile projects
Experience managing dispersed teams across multiple time zones
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you are a confident presenter, adept at tailoring your message to different audiences to drive alignment and buy in.
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
You foster a collaborative approach
