Technical Product Specialist – Home Appliance & Dacor Line
Position Type: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) Location: Onsite / Plano, TX Rate: 47.00 /hr.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Product Specialist to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across our premium Home Appliance and Dacor product lines. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering, product intelligence, and customer care. You will be responsible for maintaining deep technical knowledge, auditing and creating critical service content (error codes, wire diagrams, service guides), and ensuring high-quality technical documentation is delivered ahead of new product launches. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Content Management & Gap Analysis
Service Technical Guide (STG) Audits: Analyze current STG status to determine missing content for Dacor appliance models (including Error Codes, Service Guides, Exploded Views, and Wiring Diagrams).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Intelligence (PI) teams to prioritize and upload missing models into the STG system, focusing on high-service-demand and warranty-heavy product lines.
Pre-Launch Documentation: Review Service & Training Manuals and create comprehensive technical content for new models prior to market launch.
Technical Operations & Quality Support
Documentation Development: Author, review, and refine technical reports, test procedures, user guides, and installation/maintenance manuals for Sales, Product, and Customer Care departments.
Service Expertise Enhancement: Continuously review existing service documentation and product functions to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in technical support materials.
Customer & Field Technical Support: Provide technical advice and guidance regarding complex product features, system configurations, and integration requirements.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical home appliance industry experience).
Experience: 0–4 years of experience in an engineering, technical support, or home appliance environment.
Technical Knowledge: Hands-on understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, schematics, wire diagrams, error code troubleshooting, and service documentation for home appliances.
Core Competencies:
Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work independently, manage project timelines, and prioritize tasks based on business impact.
Familiarity with production processes, quality control standards, and technical go-to-market execution.
Preferred Qualifications Language: Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred (not required).
