JOB SUMMARY:
Provides technical support through completion of Ride & Show projects and working closely and effectively with other UO departments / divisions. All work is expected to be carried out in pre-established guidelines in performance of his/her duties including strict adherence to the UO Electrical Engineering Drafting Standards.
Responsible for creating and maintaining Electrical drawings of schematics, ladder logic,
and wiring diagrams. Works with minimal supervision. The Controls Designer II is
qualified to also act as liaison to Associate Project Managers (APMs), and to ride
attraction technicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes drawing revisions and updates from redlined prints.
Ensures all drawings comply with industry standard for NEC / IEC, IEC 60617 (BS 3939), IEC 61131-3 (Ladder logic symbols), NFPA 70, IEEE utilizing AutoCAD Electrical CAD software.
Assists the controls engineers with observations, and electrical field measurements.
Provides drawing review support to other designers for accuracy, and correctness to standards. Assists ride technicians, and Associate Project Managers with information and drawing clarification as necessary.
Checks drawings for accuracy and proper layout and complying with
UO Electrical drafting standards. Checks the work of other designers. Researches, evaluates, and retrieves archived
information in Document Control as necessary to complete assignments.
Ensures the security of all UO drawings and documents in their possession.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School or GED required. Associate degree (AA or AS) orequivalent from two-year college or technical school in Electrical Engineering
Technology is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: AutoCAD certification required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years in schematic drawings, Ladder and wiring diagrams, support, preferably within a Theme Park environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
