Web Design Specialist

**CONTRACT** Hybrid – onsite out of Owings Mills, MD **

The Web Design Specialist will work collaboratively with the Web Digital Solutions team to support standard web services for several internal sites. The Specialist will be cross-trained across several business units. Requests will include a range of repeatable tasks, new projects (such as article builds) and ongoing website maintenance and deployments.
Essential Duties
  • Support standard web services for public and subscription-based sites
  • Work with the Sr. Client Experience Manager, Product Owners, and senior team members to deliver an optimized digital mobile first approach to web solutions
  • Support Intake request that are high volume and quick turn-times with error-free results
  • Must be comfortable supporting, and handling day to day repeatable task with flexible project work as assigned
  • Must be eager to learn, grow, and enjoy day to day routine work
  • Knowledgeable in ADA, and web best practices a must
  • Understanding of the customer journey and navigating a user through a site for desire outcomes
  • Familiar working in Agile teams/Sprints, as well as a Waterfall environment.
  • Support personalization efforts using custom code (as needed)

  • Experience authoring content in enterprise content management systems (1-4 years)
  • Proficient in HTML & CSS, JavaScript and JSON
  • UX/UI experience
  • Must have experience designing for a mobile first approach
  • Accessibility, able to use tools such as WAVE, Lighthouse and AQA
  • Understanding of SEO and proper Optimization tools
  • Willing to update and write documentation or create playbooks to coach and train peers or stakeholders
  • The ability to write clean code and go through a peer review

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, or other CMS Platforms such as Drupal, SiteCore
  • Accessibility
  • Experience in JIRA, Rally, Trello or MIRO Systems

  • Must have experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and senior peers in a team environment
